On Monday, Croatia, France, Denmark and Italy were all eliminated and the three games entered overtime.
Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany will participate in the semifinals of the U21 European Championship in Slovenia and Hungary.
Spain defeated Croatia in the last four games and locked their place, while Portugal defeated Italy by a narrow margin. At the same time, the Dutch team defeated the French team in a penalty kick, while the German team defeated the Danish team in a penalty kick.

La Roja needs extra time to eliminate Croatia in Slovenia.
Javier Puado was the star of the show. He scored two goals and cancelled Luka Ivanusec’s penalty against Croatia.
Puado came off the bench before the hour mark and opened the scoring eight minutes later.
Bryan Gil’s cross found the Spaniard player in the penalty area, and he finished the game from close range.
The Spanish team looked like it would end the draw in normal time, but when Hugo Giramon knocked down Stipe Bick in the penalty area, the Croatian team was awarded a penalty in stoppage time.
Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ivanusek converted to give his team a chance, but in the second half of overtime, Puado suddenly appeared in order to seal the tie, after taking over Mark Cucurera’s Shot into the top of the net after passing the ball.
Netherlands 2-1 France
Thanks to two goals from AZ striker Myron Boadu, the Netherlands came from behind and eliminated France.
Les Bleus took the lead in the middle of the first half with a header from central defender Dayot Upamecano.
However, the Netherlands returned strongly in the second half and Boadu equalized the score just six minutes after the restart.
It wasn’t until the 3rd minute of stoppage time that Oranje won, as they hit France with great speed.
Justin Kluivert found Boadu with a square ball, and the 20-year-old player stuffed it into the net.
Portugal 5-3 (AET) Italy
Portugal always has the advantage in the quarter-finals, but Italy does not give up and is rewarded for its hard work.
Dany Mota took the lead in scoring just 6 minutes into the game and then reacted quickly to score Daniel Braganca’s header into the net.
Tomasso Pobega knocked down goalkeeper Diogo Costa before halftime to get a goal for the Azzurri.
Portugal took the lead through Goncarlo Ramos in just 13 minutes of the second half, but Gianluca Scamaka kept Italy in the game with a goal two minutes later.
Just when Portugal seemed about to maintain the lead, Patrick Cutrone found the goal in the 89th minute and took it to overtime.
However, at the beginning of overtime, this job in Italy became more difficult as Matteo Lovato was sent off for a second yellow card for a foul on Motta.
Thanks to Valladolid striker Jota’s goal, Portugal finally regained the lead, but they did not stop there, as Francisco Consecó followed up the goal before the final whistle sounded.
Denmark 2-2 (pen 5-6) Germany
Wahidullah Faghir had an impact on Denmark in just three minutes.
The 17-year-old came off the bench in the 69th minute and when Carlo Hols passed the ball to him in the penalty area, he hit the ball into the net.
Germany tried to get back into the game by bringing Karim Adeyemi to Riedelbaku, but Lucas Nmecha got the equalizer.
