The Dutch striker’s contract in Lyon is about to end and he will manage his own negotiations

“When I reached the point where I needed to make important choices about my future, I decided to work with my team of trusted confidants to negotiate future transactions with me with the support of legal experts.
“I will decide the destination myself. You will be the first person I know.”

Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas said earlier this year that he is confident of persuading Depay to reach a new agreement with the Ligue 1 club.
There was no breakthrough in the negotiations, and the connection with Barcelona became stronger.
Someone claimed last weekend that a deal with Barcelona is about to be concluded, but the Catalan may soon be in a state of instability due to coach Ronald Koman’s future.
After working with the Netherlands for several years, Depay and Koeman have a strong connection.
Since there are doubts about Koman’s future, Depay can remain reservations about any decision until the situation at the Nou Camp is clear.
