Kahata: After Simba SC exited, is Harambee Star on its way to Azam FC?

This experienced creative player is currently a free agent and is ready to accept offers from interested teams

Azam FC, the heavyweight team of the Tanzania Continental League, has established contact with Harambee Star creative player Francis Kahata.

The 29-year-old experienced organizer is currently a free agent after being released by Simba SC, and Simba SC believes he is superfluous.

He has always been a member of the Wekundu wa Msimbazi team, which reached the quarter-finals of the Caf Champions League, where they were eliminated by the Kaiser Chiefs.

Muyama chose not to extend the player contract that will expire at the end of June.

Why is Azam interested in Kahata?

“Except for Salum Abu Bakar, Azam does not have an organizer who can control the rhythm and reduce stress when the team is overwhelmed,” said a source from the ice cream maker Friday said.

“Therefore, Azam hopes that Kahata will strengthen their midfield department before the start of the new season.”

When contacted by Azam’s communications officer Thabiti Zakaria for comment, he said he did not know the news.

“Everything about player signing is under the guidance of the coach [George Lwandamina] Who knows who to sign. My department has not received any news of the signing, but once it happens, we will definitely make it public,” he said.

“Let us wait patiently.”

What is Kahata talking about?

“I have received a lot of offers, and I am free to choose where I want to go,” Kahata said the goal.

“However, I will let my agent handle everything, and when the time is right, I will let my fans and supporters know where I will play.”

Kahata has confirmed that he will return to Kenya this weekend. He is very happy to have the opportunity to play for Wekundu wa Msimbazi and continue to explain why he left.

“We have been negotiating with Simba’s management and have reached an agreement to part ways when my contract expires,” the Kenya international said.

“After being eliminated from the League and the Tanzania Cup, my main task is to play in the Champions League. After we are eliminated, it means that I will not participate in any games for Simba; they will pay for the remaining contract.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to play for them and the achievements we have achieved together.”
