“I hope to stay in Barcelona for many years”-Araujo is eager to extend his stay in the Nou Camp

Ronald Araujo outlined his desire to extend his stay in Barcelona and admitted that he wants to stay at the Nou Camp for “many years”.

Araujo joined Barcelona from the Uruguayan team Boston River for 2 million euros in 2018, and made his debut in the La Liga 4-0 victory over Seville a year later.

After Ronald Koeman was appointed as head coach last summer, the 22-year-old was permanently promoted to the first team and enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 season, but he is now approaching The last two years of the contract.

Araujo said he was ready to commit his long-term future to Braugrana, but claimed that he knew nothing about the negotiation of the new contract.

“I am very happy to come to Barcelona. I hope to stay here for many years and do my best every season,” Araujo said while playing for Uruguay.

“I don’t know much about contract renewal, and my representative will be responsible.

“I am calm, but I hope I can continue to stay in the club.”

Aruajo also paid special tribute to the 18-year-old teammate Anzu Fati, who hopes that as he matures and develops in an all-round way, he can continue to play his huge potential in Barcelona.
