The 22-year-old player expressed his frustration at being neglected by the Black Star

Greuther Furth midfielder Hans Nunoo Sarpei believes he has done enough to become a member of the Ghana national team.

The 22-year-old has played in Stuttgart, and after helping Clebrat qualify for the Bundesliga, he returned to the West African country for vacation.

Last season, he played 28 times in the league, played 15 times and scored a goal.

“When I played for Stuttgart, I was not called up; I was disappointed, I think it was because I didn’t play a lot of games,” Salpe said Citi Sports.

“During this time, I was not disappointed because I was not selected for the national team, because I hadn’t done enough and deserved to be called up.

“This time, I think I have done enough to win the Black Star team’s recruitment, because I have worked hard for the national team over the years, and at the same time I got the opportunity to play for a big club.

“For me, the way big men handle these things is shocking because I’m not the only player in this situation.”

Sarpei initially left Stuttgart on loan for Firth in the second half of the 2018-19 season.

Despite only participating in two league matches, Furth was persuaded by the Ghanaians to choose a permanent transfer.

After making two appearances for Stuttgart in the 2018-19 season, the club’s recent promotion provided him with the opportunity to play again in the German elite division.

“My ambition is to play in the Bundesliga. To make a long story short, I stay in Firth,” the midfielder Say About his future.

“I will go to enjoy the Bundesliga with my team.”

Sarpei joined Stuttgart in 2016 from the Ghana Premier League team Liberty Professionals.

In the 2017-16 season, he was loaned to the Slovakian team Senica, where he played in 20 league games, 13 of which were the starters.

He returned to Stuttgart before next season, but after only playing twice in the first half of the Bundesliga, he was loaned to Firth to continue his development.
