The midfielder spent two years on loan with the Gunners but failed to live up to his expectations
Dani Ceballos has confirmed his withdrawal from Arsenal after his loan from Real Madrid expired.
The midfielder showed convincing qualities and persuaded Arsenal to take him from Madrid to the club, but he was often cheated and deceived during his time in North London.
In the club’s two seasons, Ceballos failed to find a goal in the Premier League and only produced five assists. For a player who is known for his creativity, this is a poor return.

What did you say?
Before heading to his native Spain, Ceballos thanked Arsenal and their supporters for a “complex” year.
“Thank Arsenal, thank you to all the Gunners, for welcoming me so warmly from the first day I wore this jersey, let me experience the feeling of being a gunner, and let me always be a member of your family,” Sai Barros wrote Instagram.
“For many reasons, the complicated year is over. Especially because we missed the opportunity to play at home in the UAE with our supporters. However, I assure you that I will never forget your enthusiasm and support.
“I believe Arsenal is a great team with a long history. It will soon return to the top of the list and win the championship. It has always been a reference. This club, especially its supporters, deserves it, I am full of Confident that they will achieve this goal.
“Thanks to everyone on the team: coaches, tool kits, medical staff, communication and marketing teams, employees, managers, and especially supporters.
“I want you to know that I have always worked hard, doing my best for this top and this jersey.
“I wish you all the best, and I believe that success will lead to success.”
What is Ceballos going to do next?
The 24-year-old will now return to his parent club, but his future is still far away.
He has two years left on the six-year agreement he signed in 2017, but after two seasons on loan with Santiago Bernabeu, he has hardly done anything to increase his stock.
Madrid may usher in a summer of change, head coach Zinedine Zidane will leave the club at the end of the season.
This may give Cheballos an opportunity, but the club is eager to free up funds for the team’s overhaul. They may think this is the right time for the midfielder to move on.
