WPL’s inaugural day events rescheduled

We are on the brink of history as the inaugural of the most-awaited Women’s Premiere League is just a few hours away. The five-team tournament will kick off with a banger between the Gujarat Giants and the Mumbai Indians today.

However, there has been a slight change in the schedule of the events that were to take place today. Earlier, the gates of the Dr. DY Patil Stadium were to be opened to the fans at 4 pm, followed by the grand opening ceremony at  5:30. The toss was supposed to take place at 7, and the match was to begin at 7:30.

As per the updated schedule, the match has been delayed by half an hour. The toss, which was supposed to happen at 7 pm, will not take place at 7:30. Similarly, the first bowl of the game, which was expected to be bowled at 7:30 pm, will now take place at 8 pm

There has also been a change in the timings of the opening ceremony. The new schedule puts the time of the opening ceremony at 6:25 pm Nonetheless, the gates will be opened at the same time as they were initially supposed to be.
