In a recent development, the wax museum authorities at Jaipur’s Nahargarh Fort had decided to create World’s renowned cricketer, Virat Kohli‘s wax statue. The decision came forward when several tourists approached the wax museum to add his stature in the museum, as a way of paying tribute to the extraordinary batsman. Now, it is all ready and set to be installed at India’s Royal Capital, Jaipur.
In the recently concluded World Cup, Virat Kohli hit a total of 50 ODI centuries surpassing India‘s Master Blaster record of 49 ODI centuries. He did not just stop here, he also emerged as the only batsman to have smashed most runs in the 2023 World Cup and won the Player of the Tournament award for his breathtaking efforts and dedication.
An aggressive pose for the GOAT
The statue is all set to be installed on December 17, the day when the museum will be celebrating its 7th anniversary. The founder and director of the museum, Anoop Srivastav stated that the fans had reflected their desire to see Kohli’s wax statue. The clay model was made ready previously, with an aggressive look as Virat’s image is that of an aggressive cricketer.
The statue was prepared by the duo sculptor Ganesh and Lakshminarayan under the guidance and direction of Anoop Srivastava. Virat’s statue will be installed alongside the wax statue of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who Kohli considers as his supreme idol. Anoop also asserted on the fact that there is no right time than this to install Kohli’s statue as this is the highest time of his cricketing career.

The wax museum at Jaipur has several statues of prominent personalities, be it cricketers, actors, politicians, and many more. The museum also features the statue of Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni. With a statue of Swami Vivekananda installed recently, the museum aims to install only thode statue which can inspire generations to come.
