India’s Under-19 captain, Yash Dhull, who is from Delhi like Virat Kohli, has already caught the eye with his stellar performances in age group cricket.
His goal is to replicate Kohli’s feat as Under-19 captain in 2008 — winning a championship for the Colts — video of Yash Dhull using a left-arm spinner for a square kickoff is on social media spread.
In the 2019 Vinoo Mankad Trophy against Gujarat, he made 100 videos showing Yash Dhull playing square drives in a very similar fashion to how Virat Kohli played against the spinners.
The video, shared on Twitter by the official name of the Delhi Cricket Association, has been gaining traction since Dhull was named India’s captain for the West Indies U19 World Cup Under-19 team.

Yash Dhull started the West Indies campaign in Guyana’s first warm-up match against West Indies.
He continued to show his presence in India’s U19 World Cup opener against South Africa on Saturday, recovering from 11/2 after the South African Clippers entered early.
