Unmukt Chand looks more of his element in his second match after unsuccessful debut for Melbourne Renegades Big Bash League (BBL) Meet on Wednesday (January 19).
In Renegades’ final league stage game, against the Sydney Thunder at MCG, Unmukt hit an encouraging 22-for-29 in the chase.
With the Renegades needing 170 runs in 20 rounds to get to the No. 4 bat again, Unmukt Chand scored a 4 and a pair of 6s in a crucial 68-run tie with captain Aaron Finch.

Unmukt Chand had a promising outing with the bat in his second BBL match.
Unmukt Chand hits two brilliant sixes in second BBL match
The striking aspect of Unmukt Chand’s stay was the pair of sixes he screamed next to. Combining his natural grace with strength and timing, the batsman sent the ball over the bounding ropes twice before being dismissed untimely.
For the first, playing with left-arm catcher Daniel Sams, Unmukt pulled a short on a thin-leg boundary ride. In the Renegade chase, the Sixers came out of the fourth pitch of the ninth inning as their intermediate bat efforts kept them in line with the required rate.

The second biggest of the two saw Unmukt Chand smash pacemaker Nathan McAndrew in the wicket area deep in the middle, and the fielder could only stand and watch the ball fly over his head. At one stage, the fielder looked interested in catching the ball when it was in the air. But the ball has enough connection to land next to the rope.

Unfortunately, Unmukt was eliminated in the 16th game against Tanveer Sangha. As in his first game with the Renegades, the batter’s fall wrecked his team’s progress and led to a mid-to-low breakdown.
The Renegade faced a loss, finishing 169/7 and suffering a tragic loss that summed up their disastrous season. The team is eighth in the standings, winning just three of their 14 games.
