WATCH: The fake audition that formed the base of Rajasthan Royals’ online prank with Chahal and Sanju Samson

Irrespective of their performance on the field, Rajasthan Royals is one franchise that leaves the cricket fans in splits every now and then through their witty and funny social media posts. With the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin joining the squad, the fun has just gone to another level. However, the franchise, on Friday (March 25) managed to stun its fans with a hilarious prank which, at one stage, seemed real.

Sanju Samson was apparently unhappy with the RR admin for creating a meme out of him and also unfollowed the Rajasthan Royals on Twitter. It didn’t take much time for the news to spread and with the Royals releasing an official statement, the matter really seemed serious at one stage. In the end, much to the relief of everyone, it turned out to be a big prank.

The Rajasthan Royalsmeanwhile, on Saturday (March 26) morning dropped yet another video that actually formed the base of their prank. There was a fake audition that took place behind the scenes with several members of RR contingent staking their claim to become the social media admin of the franchise.

Video shows the likes of Chahal, Dishant Yagnik, Riyan Parag, Obed McCoy and Shimron Hetmyer auditioning for the position with the RR CEO Jake Lash McCrum and Romi Bhinder judging them. All of them give such hilarious auditions with none other than Chahal leading the way with his antics that RR are forced to call back the same admin that they hilariously fired in the earlier video they posted on Friday evening.

As far as the IPL 2022 is concerned, the Rajasthan Royals are one of the last teams to start their campaign. They will face the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The franchise has managed to assemble a pretty decent squad that possesses all the credentials to make it to the top four and after all the fun off the field, the team will be focussing on coming up with desired results this season.
