WATCH: Scotland U19s perform Marnus Labuschagne to grab attention at World Cup

Marnus Labuschagne’s famous “Noooo!!” For every example he says, his partner seems to have caught on with the rest of the world, as the Scottish opener saw Oliver Davidson follow in the footsteps of the Australian batsman ICC U-19 World Cup.

An interesting habit of Labuschagne called “Don’t run!!!” Davidson was loudly parodied when he faced the West Indies bowlers in a Group D encounter at the Junior World Cup in the Caribbean on Monday (Jan 17).

Interesting similarities and incidents came to light through a funny clip posted by the ICC on their Instagram handle, where Oliver Davidson was seen making funny poses while leaving the ball out while also yelling “No!!” to his batting partner.

Oliver Davidson of Scotland U-19s does a “Marnus Labuschagne”

Oliver Davidson was the Scottish Mavericks who used the bat against the West Indies. The 17-year-old left-handed batsman hit 43 of the top-ranked 93, despite the struggles of the rest of the Scottish batsman, who all collapsed to just 95.

Davidson hit four fours during his watchful sojourn, where he showed greater technical acumen than other Scottish U-19 batsmen, against some disciplined attack from the West Indies U-19 and skilled bowling.

Interestingly, Davidson’s first major contribution to the Willows in early cricket was 43 runs. The Scottish player has yet to make his List A or T20 debut, but he has played seven U-19 50-plus caps.

He shone even more as a bowler in those games, with his left arm spin providing 1/19 and 2/50 spells in the Youth World Cup so far. Last year, Davidson played five matches (5/23) at Almeria in the U-19 series against Ireland.
