Something similar was on show again during the Women’s World Cup final between Australia and England. Healy’s husband Mitchell Starc travelled to New Zealand after completing the Test series in Pakistan to be with his wife on the final day.
Interestingly, Starc also appeared on ICC’s reel of the day where he revealed his favourite moment of the Women’s World Cup. He stated that his favourite moment of the mega event is Australia dominating West Indies in the first semi-final. Moreover, Alyssa Healy scored a scintillating ton in the game so it is no surprise that the game is Starc’s favourite moment.
“Hi everyone. Mitchell Starc from the Women’s World Cup final. Beautiful day at Christchurch. My favourite memory so far from the World Cup this year has been Australia dominating the West Indies and Alyssa getting the hundred,” Starc said.

Alyssa Healy smashes a ton in the final as well
Meanwhile, Alyssa Healy is known as a big match player and she has lived true to her reputation in the World Cup. She smacked a brilliant ton scoring 129 runs off just 107 deliveries with 17 fours and one six to propel Australia to 305/3 in a rain-interrupted 45 overs a side game.
Nothing changed in a high pressure final game against England as Healy continued to march on with her breathtaking shots. She got to her century in the 35th over off 100 balls and is looking strong to take her team to a mammoth total. Moreover, the moment will be special for her with her husband Mitchell Starc witnessing her knock from the stands.
England will have their task cut out in the chase and it remains to be seen how their batters fare on a flat pitch.
