Aiden Markramthe captain of Sunrisers Hyderabaddemonstrated his amazing fielding abilities on Thursday during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by taking an outstanding catch off his own bowling.
Markram dismissed his opposite skipper with a stunning catch in the field off his own bowling. The event happened in the 12th over of the Kolkata innings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where the South African dismissed Nitish Rana of the Knight Riders for 42 to end the reliable fourth-wicket stand.
Rana, who provided Kolkata with a 61-run partnership with Rinku Singh to help them recover from a rocky start, got a thick top edge while attempting a slog-sweep with the ball traveling towards the open mid-on area. Markram, who was delivering his third over, ultimately ran in the opposite direction and made one of the best catches of the year so far. He had his eyes constantly on the ball as he kept running and dived to complete a stunning catch.
At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, Kolkata Knight Riders will play Sunrisers Hyderabad, with a target of 172 runs. With significant contributions from Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh, KKR reached 171/9 in 20 overs. Nitish Rana scored 42 runs off 31 balls for KKR in an inning where their batting order crumbled, including three fours and three sixes. In the meantime, Rinku hit 46 off 35 pitches, including four fours and a six.
