Virat Kohli reached a major milestone on Wednesday with his 100th reception in Test cricket on the second day of Cape Town’s third Test match against South Africa.

It was a sensational catch as he dived to the left for a low catch. The catch ended a 47-run stand in the fifth wicket between Bavuma and Keegan Petersen, giving India a much-needed breakthrough.

The Indian skipper is ready to complete his 100th Test in Cape Town. But upper back spasms kept him out of the second Test in Johannesburg, which turned into his 99th.

Kohli also put up a stellar 79 in the first inning to help India out of the woods and help India to a respectable 223 runs.
