In an enthralling game filled with twists and turns of epic proportions, the tenth-placed Delhi Capitals managed to trump the table-topping Gujarat Titans in a nail-biting encounter, winning by a mere five runs in dramatic fashion that left the spectators on the edge of their seats.

The pendulum of the game swung numerous times, starting with the fiery pace of Mohammed Shami who picked up four wickets inside the powerplay to reduce Capitals to a meager 23 for 5. However, Aman Hakim Khan’s scintillating maiden T20 fifty and the valuable contributions from Ax ar Patel and Ripal Patel defied the Titans’ attack and dragged the Capitals to a respectable total of 130 for 8.

The Capitals then took the upper hand when Khaleel Ahmed, Ishant Sharma, and Kuldeep Yadav left the Titans reeling at 32 for 4. Even though the mercurial Hardik Pandya steadied the chase with a half-century, the momentum was with the Capitals going into the final two overs.

Just when the game seemed lost, Rahul Tewatiawith nerves of steel, hit a hat-trick of sixes off the fiery Anrich Nortje in the 19th over, bringing the Titans within touching distance of victory. However, Ishant Sharma held his nerve in the final over and conceded just six runs against the Likes of Hardik Pandya, Tewatia, and Rashid Khan, sealing the deal for the Capitals.

However, tonight’s game has had no effect on the points table. Gujarat Titans are still at the top of the table despite losing the game. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have continued to be at the bottom even after a dramatic win.
