The seasoned 31-year- old batsman will be joining the Super Giants for INR 50 lakh, and is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the team.

Nair has a commendable IPL record, having played in 76 games and scoring 1,496 runs at an impressive strike rate of 127.25, which includes an impressive tally of 10 half-centuries. This would be the sixth IPL franchise for Nair, having played previously for RCB, RR, DC, PBKS, and KKR.

In a recent statement, Karun expressed his delight in joining the Lucknow Super Giants squad for the upcoming season. He also extended his well wishes to the team’s injured captain KL Rahul and expressed hope for his speedy recovery.
“Really happy to be joining the Super Giants. I wish KL a speedy recovery and hope he comes back stronger. Look forward to meeting my teammates very soon and contributing to the team.”, Nair said after being named KL Rahul’s replacement.
