After ending the South Africa tour, Team India is back in T20 action. On January 11, India and Afghanistan met in a three-match T20 series. In Mohali, both teams will play the first T20 match. This will be the last fixture before the T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma is back in the T20 format. But before playing the match, Team India had a setback. He has been ruled out from today’s match.
After the South Africa tour, India is scheduled to play a three-match T20 series against Afghanistan. PCA Stadium of Mohali is organizing the first T20 match tonight. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are back in the squad. Virat Kohli is missing out on the first game for personal reasons. Rohit Sharma is ready to lead the team.
But before heading to the match, Team India had a setback. Yashasvi Jaiswal has been named in the squad for three T20s. But he has been ruled out from the first T20 because of a groin injury. BCCI confirmed that before that match.
On the social media handle, BCCI confirmed the news. They wrote, “ UPDATE: Mr Yashasvi Jaiswal was unavailable for selection for the first T20I due to a sore right groin..”

India is set to take on Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series on home turf. In the shortest format, India boasts a flawless record against Afghanistan, securing victories in four out of their five encounters, with one match concluding in a no result.
