Whilst England are battling it out in a white ball series against India, Surrey and England’s Jason Roy, Reece Topley and Laurie Evans reveal the inside track on their England team mates currently going up against India in their tour, in a funny and revealing video.

For instance –

Who has helped you most with your game?

Laurie Evans: I quite enjoy Hash, Hashim Amla. Just as a calming influence over the dressing room.

Jason Roy: Yeah, the mental side of things, 100%. We’ve been blessed with overseas players that you can’t believe. Kumar Sangakkara, KP, Hash, Ricky Ponting, Graeme Smith.

Who would you trust with a catch to save your life?

Jason Roy: I’m going to put CJ (Chris Jordan) up there. Stick a high ball up there, he’s got good mitts on him.

Laurie Evans: I think you’re pretty good, mate

Jason Roy: Take a catch, just do my job, mate.

All is revealed in this must watch video…

Although Surrey were recently knocked out of the Vitality Blast, sports betting site Betway had them as favourites to win their Quarter final match against Yorkshire Vikings, they were missing Chris Jordan, Jason Roy and Reece Topley away on England duty which was a shame – Stand in Surrey captain commented – “We’re gutted with that. We won 10 of our first 11 games and 95 per cent of the time we were very good, it’s just that little five per cent that wins or loses you games.

“Jamie (Overton) played a brilliant innings. When he first came in we were behind the game and then with one over left we were ahead of the game.

“Five runs off six, more often than not you’re going to win that game chasing, but Thompson bowled a great over.

“We chased 190 on that wicket five or six days ago, we knew it was a good pitch and we bowled well so we couldn’t really complain – 160 was a good score to chase.”
