Sreesanth praises Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, compares to Dhoni’s brilliance


The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has been ended a few times ago. In that tournament, India performed exceptionally well. After winning 10 consecutive matches, they appeared in the final against Australia. In the final match,  Australia defeated India and won the World Cup for the sixth time. In this tournament, Rohit Sharma has done an excellent captaincy job. Former Indian cricketer Sreesanth praised him. 

Rohit’s Amazing Captaincy in the World Cup:

India conquered the World Cup in 2023. After a long wait, India organized that tournament. Since the beginning of the tournament, India played exceptionally well. They defeated all the teams in the group stage. They also defeated New Zealand in the semifinal stage. Rohit Sharma did an excellent captaincy job. He used every player in the best way.

Besides the captaincy, Rohit Sharma batted exceptionally well. In the match against Afghanistan, Rohit Sharma played an exciting innings of 131 runs. In the whole tournament, Team India showcased exceptional form. In the final match, they fell short. They ended as the runners-up. Rohit Sharma flourished his captaincy skill in this tournament.

Sreesanth’s Praise:

Sreesanth was an excellent bowler for India. The former Indian bowler praised Rohit Sharma for his excellent captaincy job in the World Cup. He said, “Rohit Sharma is a street-smart cricketer and he’s somebody more like MS Dhoni who doesn’t just get off the scene straight away.” The former Indian Bowler draws a comparison between Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni. 

After the World Cup, selectors rested Rohit Sharma from the five-match T20 series against Australia. Another action will be starting from December 10. India will be traveling to South Africa. In that tour, India will be playing a three-match T20 series, a three-match ODI series, and a test series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be taking part in the white-ball format. They will come back in the test series.
