Rohit Sharma joins the Mumbai Indians camp ahead of the IPL season

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has joined the Mumbai Indians camp ahead of the IPL. Mumbai Indians Twitter page posted the photo of the skipper with Marine Drive behind him. The photo was with the caption “आपला मुंबईकर Rohit Sharma”.

The well-known five-time champion of the Indian Premier League revealed to the BCCI its player retention list. The IPL Mumbai Indians team 2023 player list will play without Kieron Pollard in 2023 because of his retirement announcement. This year, MI IPL placed tenth and is hard at work getting ready for the 2023 season. The 10 IPL franchises reveal the names of the players they have retained and released just before the mini-auction that will take place on December 23, 2022, in Kochi. The Mumbai Indian team 2023 players that the Mumbai Indians Team decided to keep and trade for the IPL 2023 season have also been disclosed.

Injury concerns

Jasprit Bumrah, MI’s star paceman, has already been ruled out of the 2023 Indian Premier League, missing his first full season in the T20 tournament since 2013. The pacer Jofra Archer is recovering from the injury that prevented him from playing in the IPL 2022, so there is some good news in store.

Tristan Stubbs and Dewald Brevis, a South African combination, will also be out from MI’s opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 2. Nevertheless, they should be ready for their subsequent games against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 8 and thereafter. Jhye Richardson, an Australian pacer, will not play in the IPL in 2023, however.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, who is currently the batting coach for Mumbai Indians and has retired from the IPL, will be expected to step into the enormous shoes left by Kieron Pollard. If Arjun Tendulkar, another all-rounder, will make his IPL debut this year is still up in the air.

In the absence of big players, the skipper needs to have a good tournament with the bat and lead the side to their sixth title in the IPL.
