With the 4th match of the ongoing T20I series between India and Australia underway, Team India is making heads turn with a brilliant start to the game, showcasing it’s batting prowess like always. The 4th T20 match is being held at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. With the stadium facing an electricity crisis prior to the match, the issue seems to be resolved now by a temporary power supply setup. But what is something to note is Indian batters’ magnificent ability to always mark a difference against their opponent team.
After winning the toss, six-time World Cup champions chose to bowl first asking India to bat. Openers Yashaswi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad gave a clean start to the innings smashing 37 runs and 32 runs respectively. With Shreyas Iyer getting dismissed for 8 and Suryakumar Yadav at 1, Rinku Singh yet again showed up excellently by scoring 46 runs off just 29 balls. He hit a total of four boundaries and two sixes to lead India’s target to the Aussies. He was accompanied by Jitesh Sharma who scored 35 runs.
A 100m long six!
Along with playing a finisher’s role exceptionally well as always, Rinku hit a masterful six which lengthened up to 100 metres. This 100 m long Singh by the power hitter stood as the longest six since the commencement of the T20I series between both the teams. Rinku Singh has always reckoned on his ability to give the match a clinical finish, slowly delving as a lucky charm for Team India in the ongoing series.
After the conclusion of the ongoing series, India and South Africa are all set to play a month-long series in the latter’s homeground. The series will start with white-ball series and concluded with a 2-match Test series.
