After the fifth ball of the over, Rohit is headed out. Rinku is called in to replace him for faster running. Rohit retires cleverly. It was surprising for Afghanistan. After the draw, the first super-over was not the end. Afghanistan fought hard to save the defeat. They made another draw in the first super-over. Both teams made 16. Another super had to be there to end the match with a result. The umpires opted for the second super over.
In the second over, India batters first. Rohit Sharma came to bat. He scored 11 runs in 3 balls and was dismissed in run out by Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Rinku Singh got out on a duck. Sanju Samson played a black without scoring any runs. On the other hand, Afghanistan scored 1/2. India won the super over by 10 runs. India whitewashed Afghanistan by a 3-0 margin.
