RCB’s wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik shares updates about Reece Topley’s injury

During the eighth over of Mumbai’s innings in their match against RCB, Reece Topley exhibited a valiant fielding effort by diving to stop the ball. Unfortunately, he failed to execute the move perfectly and landed awkwardly, hurting his shoulder. pain as he clutched his shoulder, indicating that it may have dislocated.

However, veteran wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik shared updates on Topley’s injury in a conversation with JioCinema. According to Karthik, Topley’s shoulder did pop out of its socket, but it also went back in eventually. While this news may come as RC a relief for the fans, the extent of Topley’s injury and his recovery time are still unknown.

“It (shoulder) did pop out, but it went back in. I think he went for a scan during the game itself. He’s not in as much pain as we thought he’d be in. We’ll have to wait and see ,” Karthik said after the game

It remains to be seen whether Topley will be able to return to action in the IPL 2023 season, but the RCB management will undoubtedly be hoping for a speedy recovery for the left-arm pacer. In the meantime, they will need to find a replacement for Topley and make adjustments to their bowling attack to maintain their momentum in the tournament.
