Ravi Shastri on Umran Malik

Umran Malik, a pacer for Sunrisers Hyderabadhas had a difficult year, and SRH captain Aiden Markram isn’t entirely confident in his abilities. The Jammu and Kashmir speedster was brought on in the seventh over of the match against DC.

He started off with a short ball, and Phil Salt scored the first boundary. Mitchell Marsh hit the third and fourth balls for sixes, while the second ball produced a single. On the fifth ball, he then took a single, and Salt scored a four to end the over.

Former India coach Ravi Shastri critiqued Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Umran Malik’s bowling strategy against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday, April 29 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Umran’s performance against DC was dismal; he only bowled one over and gave up 22 run s.However, SRH defeated DC by a score of nine runs and gained two significant points.

Umran was reprimanded by Shastri for playing right into the hands of the opposition, according to Shastri. He was criticized by the former cricketer turned broadcaster for not adjusting his length after taking a beating. He continued by saying that if someone were to come through a Scenario like this, he could go full cross seam into the stumps.

Ravi Shastri said

“He just played into the hands of the opposition. He needs someone like a Bhuvneshwar Kumar next to him telling him what exactly needs to be done. You can still go for runs but you need to alter the length. You come out there bowl four deliveries, all same length, wrong line and he has gone for 17 runs already. He can even try cross seam. In a situation like this when you don’t have the confidence and you don’t know where it is going, go cross seam and full and into the stumps,” the 60-year-old said during commentary.
