Table-toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match number 48 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. This will be an evening game and thus begin at 7 :30 PM IST. Impressive Gujarat are on 16 points, having won eight of their nine matches. After a bright start, Punjab have slipped to No. 8, with five losses from nine matches.

In their last match, GT registered a convincing win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Bowling first, they held the opponents to 170 for 6 despite half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar. The batters, however, chased the target with ease, courtesy good contributions from the top and middle order.

Wriddhiman Saha, David Miller and Rahul Tewatia have been consistently good for them with the bat. Hardik Pandya has only failed in a couple of matches recently. Shubman Gill got a start but the big score is still missing. There are no issues with the bowling as everyone is doing the job expected of them.

GT predicted XI: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Pradeep Sangwan, Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph

Punjab’s IPL 2022 campaign is floundering. They have lost three of their last four games. In their last game, they went down to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 20 runs. Mayank Agarwal’s form remains a concern while Shikhar Dhawan has not got the big scores consistently. The middle and lower order struggled in the last game

They have a highly competent bowling attack with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Sandeep Sharma and Arshdeep Singh. But the batters need to chip in, otherwise, their contributions will not make much of a difference

PBKS predicted XI: Mayank Agarwal (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Rishi Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Sandeep Sharma, Arshdeep Singh

GT vs PBKS predicted XI: Wriddhiman Saha, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada
