Posing as a business entrepreneur offering discounted luxury items, he convinced Pant to transfer 1.63 crore. After receiving luxury items and a legal notice, the accused issued a cheque.
However, when Pant attempted to cash it, the bank revealed it had bounced, unraveling a deceitful scheme. The alleged cricketer’s series of scams, including duping a prominent player, highlights the need for vigilance in the sports world to prevent such fraudulent activities. Authorities are now investigating the extent of his deceptive practices and the impact on unsuspecting victims in the cricket community.
The Unexpected Twist:
The accused cricketer Mrinank is now in police custody. After being arrested by the Delhi police, he is now telling a different story on that matter. He said, “Rishabh Pant and me had a business together. We started a venture together that failed very badly. After that Rishabh Pant wanted some interest money which I couldn’t pay. This legal battle waged on for three years which I ultimately won.”
That statement by the former cricketer abruptly twisted this case. Interrogations and inspections are going over this case. He is also alleged in many other cases. The ex-cricketer from Haryana faces arrest for swindling luxury hotels and posing as a Mumbai Indians player in the IPL. He also misled the police with his statement saying his father was a cricketer and currently working at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
