Liam Livingstone continues to recover from injury; to arrive next week

England allrounder Liam Livingstone who plays for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League will arrive next week. Their hard-hitting English striker Liam Livingstone was practicing at Old Trafford. He was spotted Thursday while Lancashire and Surrey were playing a county matchster stadium at the stadium .

Seemingly, the flamboyant batsman’s anticipated arrival in India for the IPL 2023 has been postponed, and Punjab Kings are unsure of the precise day that he would be joining the mohali team.

ECB Official said

“He’s due to arrive mid-April,” an ECB official told Cricbuzz on Thursday. “He is coming along nicely.”

“He is still working through his rehab on the injury. He is currently working on his rehab at Old Trafford. He will be in India around April 15, the dates are fluid,” the ECB official said.

Livingstone has been working on his fitness with his LCCC colleagues because it seems that he is still not fully recovered. He hasn’t participated in a competitive cricket match since December due to ankle and knee issues.

With social media messages and posts, Livingstone has been encouraging his PBKS teammates from afar before and after their games so far in the IPL. Nonetheless, the team would be looking for his fielding prowess and firepower with the bat, which are both crucial for the side in the middle of the order.

With four points, the Shikhar Dhawan team is tied for first place with the Gujarat Titans in the standings. On April 9, they will play Sunrisers Hyderabad on the road once more.

Livingstone has excellent hand-eye coordination, and his timing and technique allow him to hit the ball cleanly. He can hit the ball straight down the ground, over the top of the bowler’s head or even switch hit for sixes. He is not afraid to try new things and is known for his innovative shots. He can play the scoop, reverse sweep, and ramp shots with ease, making him difficult to bowl to.

Punjab will be hoping that their trump card returns to action soon.
