Ireland, Scotland and England have been designated as co-hosts of the 2030 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
This event will be the first time that Ireland and Scotland will host a major cricket tournament since 1999. Three World Cup matches have been held between them that year.
The announcement came from the International Criminal Court because it released detailed information about the organizers of every men’s white ball tournament from 2024 to 2031.
The schedule of the 2030 event and the details of the venue have yet to be finalized.

Cricket Scotland Chairman Tony Brian’s team has entered the Super 12 stage of this year’s T20 World Cup. He said: “The Scottish cricket public can see the world cricket stars and Scotland’s demonstrations of cricket to the rest of the world. Fans show its history and beauty, and they will flock to watch the finals. This event will bring significant economic benefits to the country.”
Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom said: “Although we have held several ICC qualifiers in the past, and of course the 1999 World Cup at Clontarf, this will be the first major world cricket tournament to be held in Ireland. Many games in the game.
“We are grateful that there are still many details that need to be clarified about the hosting arrangements, not only for co-hosting, but also for our government partners to go beyond support in principle, but today’s announcement gives the green light to the beginning of these discussions seriously.”

The International Criminal Court announced that the United States will host the 2024 event together with the West Indies. The 2026 event will be held in India and Sri Lanka, while Australia and New Zealand will share hosting responsibilities in 2028. Australia has been confirmed as the host of next year’s T20 World Cup.
Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa will host the Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027, and India and Bangladesh will host the tournament in four years. India has been confirmed as the only host country in 2023.
The men’s championship trophy will be held in Pakistan in 2025 and in India four years later.
ICC President Greg Barclay announced that having 14 members to host eight events reflects “the true global nature of our sport.”
