India women will tour Bangaldesh in the first week of July in Mirpur. Three ODIs and as many T20Is will be played by the Women in Blue during the tour. According to the Women’s FTP published by the ICC, the series was initially slated to start in the final week of June.
According to the most recent information, it will now begin during the first week of July and coincide with the white-ball leg of the Afghan men’s tour to Bangladesh. The three-match ODI series will also be included in the ICC Women’s ODI Championship cycle for the years 2022–25.
From June 14 to 18, an international test match between the men of Afghanistan and Bangladesh will take place in Dhaka. They will head to India for a brief series that has not yet been determined once the Test concludes, while Bangladesh will take a break for Eid-ul-Adha.
India’s Tour of Bangladesh
During the first week of July, they will return to Bangladesh for the white-ball leg at Chattogram (three ODIs beginning on July 5) and Sylhet (two T20Is). The schedules of the women’s matches, particularly the T20Is, have not yet been determined because the India-Bangladesh women’s series will coincide with them.
The Indian women’s squad, meanwhile, will play its first match since losing to Australia in the 2023 T20 World Cup semifinals. Since there would be a considerable time between the Bangladesh tour and their next international series, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team will want to make the most of the trip.
The majority of India’s senior players under the age of 30 are presently attending a high-performance camp at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, according to a report in the New Indian Express.
The India A women’s squad will compete in the Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Hong Kong, which will start on June 12, prior to the Bangladesh visit. While Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia make up Group B, India is grouped with Pakistan, Thailand, and Hong Kong in Group A. The top two teams in each group that advances will play in the semifinals. In the next days, the India A team is anticipated to be announced.
