Here’s the updated Orange Cap list after MI vs GG


The Women’s Premier League has seen some thrilling performances so far, with the Orange Cap race becoming more and more intense every day. The Orange Cap is awarded to the player who scores the most runs in the tournament, and at the halfway mark, Australian skipper Meg Lanning is leading the way.

There has been no change in the top three after the match between Mumbai Indians Women and Gujarat Giants. The race for the top 3 is still dominated by the Aussies However, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur have moved up to the fourth and fifth positions , respectively.

Lanning has been in sublime form, scoring 221 runs at an average of 55.25 and a strike rate of 138.99. Her highest score of the tournament so far is 72, and she has hit 33 fours and 3 sixes in the process.

Ellyse Perry, another Australian superstar, continues to be in second place with 195 runs at an average of 48.75 and a strike rate of 137.32. UP Warriorz’s Alyssa Healy is in third place with 185 runs at an average of 61.66 and a 15strike rate7 . Healy has hit 31 fours and 2 sixes in the tournament. Her score of 96 not out continues to be the highest individual score in the tournament.

The in-form Nat Sciver-Brunt, on the back of her splendid knock after coming into bat in the first over, rose to the fourth spot in the WPL Orange Cap rankings. The English all-rounder now has 182 runs at an average of 91. MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who registered her third fifty of the campaign, is only two runs short of her teammate and occupies the fifth spot. Hayley Matthews slipped out of the top five after being dismissed for a duck. Yastika Bhatia and Harleen Deol have also been among the runs, with 151 and 155 runs respectively, and are still in the top 10.
