The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) gears up for the much-anticipated inaugural match of the five-Test series between India and England, scheduled to kick off in the city on January 25. HCA President Arshanapally Jagan Mohan Rao, after the Apex council meeting on Sunday, unveiled details of the ticket sales, emphasizing special initiatives to enhance fan engagement.

Online Ticket Sales Commence

The online sale of tickets for the Test series opener will start on the Patym Insider App and www.insider.in on January 18, as announced by HCA President Arshanapally Jagan Mohan Rao. The ticket prices range from Rs 200 for terrace daily passes to Rs 4,000 for corporate box tickets. Season tickets for corresponding categories vary between Rs 600 and Rs 16,000.

All online ticket holders are required to redeem their tickets with proof of identity at the Gymkhana Grounds starting from January 22. For those who prefer retail purchases, the sale of tickets will commence at the Gymkhana Grounds on January 22. This marks the first test of organizational skills for the current set of HCA office-bearers who assumed charge in October 23, 2023.

Special Initiatives for Armed Forces and School Students

In a commendable move, armed forces personnel in Telangana and their families will enjoy free entry on Republic Day, January 26. To avail of this offer, personnel need to email a letter attested by their HoD to the HCA CEO before January 18.

Additionally, 5,000 school students per day will have the opportunity to watch the Test match for free. This initiative includes complimentary tickets, free food, and drinking water. Over 3,000 schools have expressed interest in utilizing this opportunity, with students required to be in their school uniforms and present their identity cards.

The HCA is optimistic about the smooth execution of ticket sales and anticipates a surge in interest as the city hosts a Test match after five years. The current set of office-bearers is keen to make a positive start, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the match generates significant excitement and fan participation.
