Hardik Pandya Defends India Amid Lakshadweep Controversy

After that, Maldives’ minister Abdullah Mahzoom claimed that India was trying to shift the focus from Maldives and wanted to grab attention over Lakshadeep. He also added that India is facing challenges to compete with Maldives. 

After this incident, Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya opened up about this. On his social media handle, he wrote, “ Extremely sad to see what’s being said about India. With its gorgeous marine life, beautiful beaches, Lakshadweep is the perfect getaway spot and surely a must-visit for me for my next holiday.”

Recently, Indian cricketers have chosen Indian travel spots ahead of going into foreign. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his birthday in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. On his social media handle, he shared his mesmerizing experience of this place.   

Pandya’s Absence Against Afghanistan:

Injury has always been a concern for Hardik Pandya. While playing against Bangladesh in the World Cup 2023, he sustained an injury. After that, he didn’t play in the World Cup. His injury blow continues. Before the T20 World Cup, India will play their last T20 series against Afghanistan. Hardik Pandya has not recovered from the injury. He is going to miss the series against Afghanistan. 

The all-rounder is hoping to be back before the IPL. His trade with Mumbai Indians created a lot of buzz. Mumbai Indians traded Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans. After that trade, Mumbai Indians made him captain of the franchise. A new role is waiting for him in IPL 2024.
