Dream11 has been named the Indian National cricket team’s new team sponsor in both men’s and women’s cricket. In future international cricket matches, the Indian team will wear the emblem of the fantasy sports site in the center of their jerseys.
The platform for online learning Since the 2019 home season, Byju’s has been the team sponsor for India. Byju’s purchased the rights from smartphone manufacturer Oppo.
Byju did not renew its deal with the BCCI after sponsoring the squad for about three and a half years. Dream11 will replace Byju’s logo in the middle of the Indian team’s shirt for the next four years, according to writer K Shriniwas Rao.
The Confusion
Some fans were perplexed by the statement because Adidas had previously negotiated a partnership with the BCCI. In reality, Adidas has released new Indian national cricket team Uniforms. Soon after, the writer clarified that Adidas is the squad’s apparent sponsor, whereas the new signing is for the team sponsor.
Dream11, a fantasy sports platform, is not new to the BCCI’s list of sponsors. This platform has formerly sponsored the Indian Premier League. When Vivo opted to take a hiatus from their IPL title sponsorship arrangement, the fantasy sports website stepped in as the title sponsor for a one-year deal.
A number of Indian cricketers have also served as brand ambassadors for this platform. The fantasy cricket industry has evolved significantly, with many fans embracing the platform to demonstrate their cricket knowledge.
Aside from the Indian team, the fantasy sports portal also supports the International Cricket Council and a number of smaller events in India and abroad. India will most likely use their new uniforms in the next away series against the West Indies, which begins on July 12 .
