The excitement for the upcoming IPL has already started to gear up. Teams are preparing hard for the upcoming tournament. The auction for IPL 2024 is scheduled to happen on December 19 in Dubai. This is the first time, the auction is happening outside India. Before the auction, the probable date of the start of the IPL 2024 has come out. As per sources, the tournament will start from March 22. If this happens, then Players like Mustafizur Rahim and Josh Hazelwood will be partially available for the tournament.

Scenario of IPL 2024:

The IPL fever is hyping up for the tournament even before the auction. Teams are working hard to create a power-packed team. As per some sources, IPL 2024 will start from March 22. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to start from June 4. For this reason, the IPL will start early in the next year. As per reports, countries like Afghanistan, West Indies, South Africa, New Zealand, and Zimbabwe already confirmed the availability of their players in the T20 league.

There is another concern. In 2024, the general election will be held all over the country. Because of this reason, the days are not yet confirmed for the tournament. Cricket boards like England, Ireland, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have approved with conditions. Their participation will depend on their international tours.

Player’s Availability:

As the IPL is likely to start early, the player’s availability is a concern. Bangladesh and Ireland will be busy in their international duties from March 22 to May 11. Apart from Mustafizur Rahim, other Bangladeshi players will miss the IPL. the same concern is there for Sri Lanka. They will face Bangladesh in a test match from March 30 to April 3. Sri Lanka’s non-test players like Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, and Dushmantha Chameera will be available for IPL 2024.

England players are still in dilemma if they will be available for the IPL 2024 or not. They will be in the auction subject to their international duty. The scenario is different for Australia. Apart from Josh Hazelwood, the other Aussie players will be available for the IPL 2024. Hazelwood will be available from the May 11th. Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman will be available from March 22 to May 11. Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam will miss the entire tournament.
