West Indies spinner Sunil Narine has often been accused of bending his arm a little more than what’s permissible in the game of cricket. The off-spinner has had to remodel his action quite a few times. Despite changing his action, he has continued to be one of the sought-after players in the T20 format around the around.

Narine is currently busy playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. During the Indian Premier League (IPL) game at the iconic venue, the netizens noticed something fishy with Narine’s actions.

The fans reckoned that Narine’s bowling action wasn’t as per the laws of the game. Subsequently, they expressed their displeasure on the matter.

Here’s how the netizens alleged Sunil Narine of chucking

Narine has been with the Men in Gold and Purple for the last 11 seasons and hasn’t disappointed one bit. Prior to the mega auction on February 12 and 13, the Knight Riders retained Narine along with Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy and Venkatesh Iyer.

Apart from his prowess with the ball, Narine has also been effective with the bat in hand. He opened the batting in a couple of seasons and helped his team make use of the powerplay. In the ongoing game, Narine has done exceptionally.

He finished with bowling figures of 4-0-23-1 and got rid of Raj Bawa, who came up the ranks after India U19’s campaign in the 2022 World Cup in the West Indies. Narine was also a tad erratic as he bowled three wides .

After being put into field first, the Knights got off to an impressive start as Umesh Yadav trapped PBKS skipper Mayank Agarwal in the very first over of the game. From there on, Sri Lanka batter Bhanuka Rajapaksha took the attack to Shivam Mavi and hit him for quite a few boundaries.

But after scoring 31 runs off nine balls with three fours and as many sixes, Rajapaksha got out to Mavi. Later, Punjab’s batting strained as the KKR bowlers dominated proceedings in the middle.

Umesh Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for the Knights as he finished with figures of 4-1-23-4.
