Aaron Finch expresses his biggest concern for the Gujarat Titans

Aaron Finch has expressed his concern about Gujarat Titans. If opener Shubman Gill failed to score, Gujarat Titans (GT), the current champions, would have serious concerns, feels Finch. The first game of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between GT and the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Finch calls Gill as the X-factor

“I think a concern area for Gujarat Titans will be their top order if Shubman Gill does not fire. Shubman Gill is the X-factor for the team. We know how freely he can score, he is such a damaging player and when he gets in, he goes really big. If he fires, their middle order will function very well and they will be very hard to beat,” Finch said.

“They have got a lot of firewalls and a lot of experience in that middle order and a huge amount of power, but if they get in too early, they will be in trouble,” he further added.

David Miller will be the Main player to watch out for in the 2023 IPL, according to Finch, who guided Australia to their first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy. Last year, the South African batter averaged 68.71 runs per game, totaling 481 runs. Miller will notably join the GT team on April 3, following the Netherlands series.

“The player to watch out this year for Gujarat Titans will be David Miller,” Finch said.

The top brass of Gujarat’s management recently recommended Gill, who is now in excellent condition. Vikram Solanki, the director of cricket at Gujarat Titanspredicted that Shubman Gill would succeed Hardik Pandya as team captain. The player, according to Solanki, is a leader in his own right.

“Shubman Gill is a leader because he takes a lot of responsibility. I think it is not important to be officially declared a captain. He adapted the role last year,” said Solanki.

“Shubman will be a captain in the future. No decision has been made about that, but he has qualities and is very talented,” he added.
