Brazilian football legend Pele was hospitalized for treatment for a colon tumor. São Paulo Hospital Albert Einstein said on Wednesday, adding that he is in stable condition and should be discharged in the next few days.
The 81-year-old three-time World Cup champion underwent surgery to remove a colon tumor in September and stayed in the hospital for nearly a month. The hospital said at the time that he needed chemotherapy.

According to the hospital’s instructions on Wednesday, Bailey is now “continuing” treatment.
The football legend said on Twitter last month that he is “good” and “feels better every day.”
