Australian Open 2022: Nick Kyrgios takes a sip of fan’s beer after first-round win

The highlights of tennis star Nick Kyrgios’ opening round at the Australian Open included more than just his performances on the court. After beating Liam Brody in straight sets, Kyrgios decided to celebrate.

Kilgois walked to the stands, where a fan placed a beer beside him as if to give the star. It’s an offer most athletes would reject, but the 26-year-old decided to accept the fan’s gift after his first-round win.

Kyrgois did appear to be debating whether he should take a sip, but fans encouraging the act was enough to convince the tennis player.

The crowd apparently loved it and wanted Kyrgois to keep drinking.

He also got the crowd boiling as he yelled “I’m back” and served through the legs.

Kyrgois advanced with a victory and then faces Daniil Medvedev.

Australian Open It was the first Grand Slam of the year.It starts on Jan. 9, but thanks to the country’s vaccination deal, the world’s top men’s tennis ranking Novak Djokovic unavailable.
