Australia saves women’s ashes after beating England in the first ‘One Day International’ of the multi-format series on Thursday
England needed wins in all three ODIs to win the Ashes, but needed 206 to win after losing on 27 points after Canberra were dismissed with 178.

Australia led 8-4 in the series and couldn’t be beaten, with each of the remaining two ODIs earning 2 points for the winner. Australians have held columbarium since the winter of 2013-14.
Australia won the only completed race of the three scheduled T20Is. Pull out a one-time test.
England can still win two of the remaining ODIs.
Australia also won the Men’s Ashes last month.
