After the Crown Jewel event on October 21, the WWE landscape will undergo major changes. Crown Jewel not only represents WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia to participate in a series of controversial events in the country, but it is also the last event before the WWE draft change takes effect on Raw and SmackDown.
Brock Lesner will return in the game and fight world champion Roman Raines in a huge showdown. There is currently another championship game officially set for this card. Becky Lynch defends the title with Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks in the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Let’s take a look at what we know in WWE Crown Jewel-and what we expect.
WWE crown jewel game
World Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar: Reigns vs. Lesnar is a huge duel. After Lesnar returns after the end of SummerSlam, WWE is excited to build this game. Rains’ current adviser and Lesner’s former supporter Paul Heyman has always been at the heart of the storyline, and Rains’s trust in Heyman is waning. Reigns has won the championship for more than a year, and Lesnar represents the biggest test of his era as a champion.
SmackDown Women’s Championship – Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Bel Air vs. Sasha Banks: Banks made her return unexpectedly, breaking the limit rules between Lynch and Bel Air in the rematch. It makes sense that Banks and Bel Air were ready to re-fight for the title at SummerSlam before Banks could not participate in the competition. Instead, Lynch returned for a long time due to pregnancy, beating Bel Air and winning the championship in less than 30 seconds. Now, Lynch must resist the challenge of the two women, although Bel Air will switch to Raw after the game. However, this doesn’t mean she can’t win the belt, because the Raw women’s champion Charlotte Flair was selected to join SmackDown on the first night of the draft.
WWE Championship – Big E (c) vs. Drew McIntyre: McIntyre leaves Raw after Crown Jewel and goes to SmackDown. Nevertheless, after the champion competed with Bobby Lashley for the title, he stared at the big E to end a recent original game. The following week, after McIntyre explained that he had been waiting for someone to show up and win the championship from Bobby Leslie, Big E agreed to give McIntyre a title.
Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg (no disqualification, falls anywhere): Lashley defeated Goldberg on SummerSlam and attacked Goldberg’s son after the game. Goldberg made it clear that he would eventually take revenge, even saying that he hoped to “lucky” and “kill” Lashley. Before Lashley agreed to give him a rematch, he doubled down on these words in a follow-up promotional video, but only if it was conducted under No DQ rules, and Goldberg happily agreed.
Seth Rollins vs. Edge (Hell in a cell): The two parted ways in the first two games, and Rollins hit a heavy blow in the rematch that he thought would end his career. After Rollins broke into Edgie’s home, Rollins asked Edgie to accept his request for the last game. Edge carried out a brutal attack on SmackDown the following week. Edge then called for the two to meet in a hell cell, and WWE later confirmed the match.
Original doubles champion – RK-Bro (c) vs. AJ Styles & Omos: Randy Orton and Riddle won the Styles and Omos doubles titles on SummerSlam, ending their dominant championship reign. Styles and Omos did not stop focusing on revenge. WWE officially announced that the championship rematch will be held in Crown Jewel.
Lord of the Rings Finals: WWE is bringing back the Lord of the Rings and they plan to end the game at Crown Jewel. This is in line with many other “notable achievements” held in Saudi Arabia in the past, including the WWE World Cup and the greatest battle royal.
Queen’s Crown Finals: Similar to the Lord of the Rings, this game-the first all-female title ever held under the Queen’s Crown label-will end on Crown Jewels.
Mansour vs. Mustafa Ali: After experiencing a series of losses, Ali and Mansour are tired of what they used to be a doubles combination. The two will now play a singles match at Crown Jewel. Mansour has always been a major participant in the WWE tournament in Saudi Arabia, including winning the 51-man big showdown in the 2019 Super ShowDown, so it only makes sense to put him on the card.
Usos against Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander (kick-off match): This game was later added to the card as a kickoff exhibition game. This game is not suitable for The Usos’ SmackDown label title, because the members of Hurt Business are part of the Raw brand. Instead, this should be just a solid label wrestling to warm the crowd.
