2021 T20 World Cup: Bangladesh Cricket Surveys Poor Performance in T20 World Cup

Bangladesh’s cricket authorities will investigate their team’s poor performance in the T20 World Cup. They lost to Scotland in the opening game and lost all five Super 12 matches.

Bangladesh, ranked 8th, made it into the Super 12 only by winning over Oman and Papua New Guinea.

Then it was severely criticized after being at the bottom of the group and was out of less than 100 twice in the past two games.

The Bangladesh Cricket Committee said on Monday that a committee would evaluate “relevant stakeholders to assess why the team was unable to achieve the expected performance in the tournament”.

Commentator and retired Australian batting master Mark Wo said that Bangladesh defeated Australia with 73 points in the final game. The latter only scored 38 goals, calling Bangladesh “embarrassing.”

“Bangladesh did not provide any bats. This is an embarrassing performance,” the Australian said on Fox TV.

“This should be the T20 World Cup. You won’t find it in the third grade in the park.”

After a poor performance, former BCB CEO Saber Hossain Chowdhury attacked his successor Nazmul Hassan “Papon”.

Chowdhury said on Twitter: “Bangladesh has now participated in four World Cups under the leadership of Mr. Papen, and the situation is getting worse and worse.”

“It’s always someone else’s fault. He hit our cricket ball to the ground.”

Local media said the team may see a radical change in the upcoming series against Pakistan, which will arrive in Bangladesh next week to participate in three 20 20 international players and two tests.

But former Bangladesh captain Mashraf Mortasa urged the authorities not to blame the players for the Bangladesh team’s failure.

“Please correct this process without harming the players,” he wrote on Facebook.

Bangladesh is sure to have a place in the Super 12 stage of the next T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.
