Glasgow, United Kingdom, May 15 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/-Interplanetary Refrigeration has been designated as the main event partner of Climate Change Week, a free online event organized by the British Cold Chain Federation of the Voice of the Temperature Control Logistics Industry.
The two-day event titled “Cold Chain and Climate Change-Finding Practical Solutions” will be online on the 18th May 19, 2021. The free webinar will include cold chain and climate change experts who will give lectures, speaker panel discussions and Q&A sessions to study the latest climate change policies and their impact on companies operating in the cold chain.
With new announcements on strategies, policies and regulations to promote the sector’s decarbonization efforts, the event will lay the foundation for the upcoming 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference. (COP26) This will happen on November 2021, The Activity Campus in Scotland (SEC) Glasgow.
The first day of the event held on May 18, titled “Policy”, focused on The 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference And climate change policies, and how these policies affect companies in the cold chain. In addition, the next phase of the Cold Chain Federation’s work on net zero emissions and the recently commissioned multi-million pound research project aimed at studying cold chain decarbonization will also be discussed.
PhD Rob Lamber, Star Refrigeration’s Group Sales and Marketing Director will join policy speakers, including Dan Hamza Goodkle of COP 26 Champion team professor Toby Peters of University of Birmingham with Tom Southall The expert group of the Cold Chain Federation held a group discussion on this topic and will share the findings of the recent “Building Performance Standards” consultation. The Cold Chain Federation is the spokesperson for the temperature control supply chain in the UK.
