The rapid growth of data creation has driven the demand for higher storage capacity, and customers working from home need the ability to quickly access data and archive and share data in a private cloud environment. 18TB MN09 provides greater storage capacity and power efficiency to meet the growing needs of storage customers.

MN09 is a 9-disk helium sealed conventional magnetic recording (CMR) drive that utilizes Toshiba’s innovative flux-controlled microwave-assisted magnetic recording (FC-MAMR™) technology. FC-MAMR™ increases the CMR capacity to 18TB and provides a higher density per disc than previous designs. MN09 is 3road The first generation uses Toshiba’s pioneering 9-disk helium seal mechanical design.
