Randall Foods voluntarily recalls all Randall beans

Randall Food Co., Ltd. of Cincinnati, Ohio is recalling all Randall brand beans because manufacturing deviations may pose a potential health risk. The recall includes the following products:

The product is sold in 48 ounce, 24 ounce and 15.4 ounce glass jars with a tan label on the glass jar with “Randall” on the top of the label. Between March 1, 2019 and May 15, 2021, approximately 1.6 million boxes of affected products were distributed at retail locations in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Illinois States, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Manufacturing deviations include temperature indicating devices that do not work properly, which increases the possibility that products cannot be processed effectively. Processing at temperatures below the required temperature may cause conditions that lead to premature deterioration or food-borne diseases; however, there are no reports of diseases.

The company is issuing this voluntary recall as a preventive measure.

Consumers who have purchased Randall brand bean cans, regardless of the “Best By” date, should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers who have questions can contact the company by calling 1-513-793-6525 between 9 am and 5 pm.
