The Project Management Institute (PMI) Board of Directors stated today that President and CEO Sunil Prashara will leave PMI on December 31, 2021.

“It’s an honor to lead PMI,” Sunil said. “In the past year, I have been inspired by the high level of concern for environmental, social and corporate governance in business and investment. After careful consideration, I decided to enroll in the full-time master’s program (LBS) at the London Business School. It requires my full concentration, which is why I made the difficult decision to leave PMI. I love this organization and will miss the amazing people here who are lucky enough to work and collaborate with me.”

Sunil continued: “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to help formulate and advance the institute’s strategy in the past two years. This is an amazing journey: from the successful implementation of PMI 2.0 to leading the growth mission of PMI 4.0, it has greatly improved PMI Relevance and visibility in the global stakeholder community.
