Piper Sandler The Chemical and Materials Investment Banking Group (The Valence Group) announced today that it has partnered with SK Capital Partners to advise The Heubach Group on its acquisition of Clariant’s pigment business. The combined business will operate under the name Heubach and become a global pigment leader with annual sales of more than 900 million euros.
The transaction valued Clariant Pigments at approximately 805 million Swiss francs, and the consideration of another 50 million Swiss francs depends on the financial performance of the business unit in 2021. As part of the transaction, Clariant will reinvest in the ownership of the combined business, demonstrating its continued commitment to Clariant Pigments’ success and the huge growth opportunity of the merger with Heubach.
The completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions and approvals, and is expected to take place in the first half of 2022.
Heubach is headquartered in Langelsheim, Germany, with branches in Germany, the United States and India, and sales offices all over the world. Heubach is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality organic, inorganic and anticorrosive pigments and pigment preparations. As one of the earliest pigment manufacturers in history, Heubach has more than 200 years of experience in pigment production. Heubach produces c.
