Women’s Snowboard Slope Style: Monster Energy’s Tess Coady dominates, Annika Morgan finished third

Eight of the world’s leading freestyle skiers competed in the women’s snowboard slope-style final on Saturday. Each contestant was awarded two runs to compete for the top score.including countries represented Australia, Austria, Germany, Japan, new Zealand, Finland, Switzerland, and Dutch. When all is said and done, 21 Tess Cody from St Kilda, Australia, the bag with skill and technical consistency won in a fierce final. The Australian Olympic snowboarder angered the crowd by jumping to the top of the leaderboard in her first round, taking her final event as a victory lap and turning the difficulty up a notch.

On the top half of the course, Coady deftly drives a semi-cab on a 360-degree track, wall rides over the hip, and switches back to 360 on a 180-degree angle on the butterbox. Heading into the jumping section, she followed with 86.18 points and a first-place finish, 900 Silent in the rear, dual 1080 Indy up front and stylish rear air on the quarterpipes.
