Tokyo, December 1, 2021-(JCN Newswire)-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries & Engineering Co., Ltd. (MHIENG), a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), has received an order for a compact CO2 capture system from Taihei Dengyo Kaisha, Ltd., a factory Construction, maintenance and auxiliary service providers for integration into biomass power plants. The capture capacity of the system is 0.3 metric tons per day (tpd). Driven by this latest order, in the future MHIENG will promote the decarbonization of all sectors of the world, especially power and industrial production, as a way to contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society.

Taihei Dengyo’s goal today is to build a carbon-negative solution from a carbon neutral system to help realize a circular society. The company seeks to achieve this transformation by separating, capturing and initial storage of CO2 emitted by biomass power plants, and then using the stored carbon to grow plants.
