McMenamins confirmed that internal employee data dating back to January 1, 1998 was compromised in a malicious ransomware attack that it blocked on December 12. McMenamins is providing past and current employee identity and credit protection services, as well as a dedicated call center to answer related attacks.
Between July 1, 2010 and December 12, 2021, the company has sent letters to all individuals employed by the company detailing the stolen personal information and how individuals protect their identity and credit. Urges past employees from January 1, 1998 to June 30, 2010 to visit the company’s website for support and detailed instructions on how to protect their data. A hotline has been set up for other issues: (888) 401-0552.
The stolen data may include: name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, race, ethnicity, gender, disability status, medical records, performance and disciplinary records, social security number, health insurance plan choices, income amount, and retirement Contribution amount.
